Angry Bird Activity Park, Johor (16 November 2014)

One of Johor newest attraction is the Angry Bird Activity Park situated in KOMTAR JBCC. I was curious about the park and the activities it offers, as there's not much review about it online. Since the Park is just  5 minutes drive away  from our hotel we decided to drop by. Not like we're in JB often, right?

The entry fees is RM60 per session during weekends/public holidays and school holidays (each session is limited to 4 hours) I find the price a bit pricey as compared to other activity parks we've been due to the time limitation. For more information on the ticket prices/schedule/activities check out the website: Angry Bird Park.

Park Tips: Don't forget your socks and do avoid huge bags as you may need to rent a locker.

Zone: Utopia

This zone focuses a lot on tumbling activities (tight rope walking, trampoline and swinging). Adventurous little gymnast would find this entertaining

Zone: Classic

Zone : Danger

Review: The activities are fun and different, for example the tumbling station and "laser obstacle" station was a kind of a novelty to us as we have yet to encounter it elsewhere. Ryan and Ranya also tried this real cool activity station where they they jumped from a 1.5m high dive station onto a huge mattress. This park is certainly not for the dainty kids who prefers cutesy rides. I would recommend the Hello Kitty and Little Big Club for that. We had fun and will probably visit again but on a normal day so that we won't be subjected to the time limit. All in all we had a fun day, alhamdullilah :)

Legoland Waterpark, Johor (15 November 2014)

LEGOLAND WATERPARK

This is our 3rd visit to Legoland but our first to the waterpark. Take note of the separate charges/entrance. We decided to get the combo tickets as it was worth it especially with our Maybank Cardholder discounts. For more information on the park and ticket price check out Legoland Malaysia

The water park is not super huge but there's plenty to do. We easily spend 3 hours here. There's facilities like locker room, changing room, cabana (for rental) and plenty of seats and tents around to park your stuff.

I find the waterpark super baby friendly as compared to the others we've been. Love that there's a special covered area for small children. We also enjoyed the more challenging "Build a raft river" where we took a swim around the park with the kids :p It was an adventure trying to swim-drag 3 pre-scholers who can't swim without any major incident. I feel like Mrs Indiana Jones (haha) The plus point is since we visited a week before school holidays we managed to avoid the crowd which is super crucial to MY enjoyment :p

LEGOLAND

We also had fun in Legoland though it was raining on and off. It didn't really affect us much since we've been here twice before and have seen and enjoyed most of the attractions.
At least this time around the twins are a bit older thus are able to get on and enjoy the rides together with Ryan :)

*yeay* driving license for my babies, good, now they can drive mummy around. Anyway the attractions in Legoland are the same as what I've blogged before so I'm not going to repeat. But kids being kids, despite having seen all of them before are still super excited to be there...

New Attraction : Star Wars Miniland

Ryan is now a Star Wars fan so he is ecstatic for the chance to visit the Star Wars inspired miniland. There's even a short cartoon at the beginning of the tour which was hilarious. It was really cool especially if you've watched the movie.

Baby Shopaholic takes Legocity

I bought some Legos for the kiddies. It was a bargain especially the Chima and Ninja turtle ones which was on sale. The Ninja Turtle Lego was actually a part of the new collection but was on 25% discount just because the box was dented -__-  Apalagi, Ryan tak nampak pun mummy offer hehehe :) Anyways Legoland did not disappoint. The kids are already asking for our NEXT visit....

Doubletree by Hilton Hotel (14-16 November 2014)

It is time for our family end of the year holiday. This holiday almost did not happen, what with the change of dates, timing and even venue. Alhamdullilah, it ended up more awesome than what I had initially planned. We were supposed to go to Penang but after my plans got axed, we decided to visit Legoland Waterpark and The Angry Bird Park in Johor instead, the two parks which we have yet to go. I chose to stay at Doubletree by Hilton hotel, because of its location which was situated right smack in the middle of the two attraction place.

Other than the location, the hotel also received rave reviews in Booking.com There's ample parking (parking at B1 is limited but there's more parking in Level 6-10 of the building), it is surrounded by restaurants and eateries and JB Bazaar is just about 8-10 minutes walk away.

We were greeted with this warm and yummy chocolate chip cookie upon check in :)

We stayed in the executive double room with double beds. Suitable for our family of five, with ample space for the kids to run around in.

The bathroom is clean and has all the essentials though baths are not available.
Toiletries are from Crabtree and Evelyn, which is a major plus for me :)

The bathroom is an open concept one, you can watch TV while taking a shower (but whyyy???). Don't be worried though, there's an automatic screen if you do not want to take your shower in full view of everyone.

We had room service on our first night because we were too lazy and tired to go out for dinner. The food is ok and reasonably priced. We ordered the tandoori chicken (best dish), nasi goreng (ok), and the kids spaghetti (sub-par). I do love the table tray, which made our dining experience so much more comfortable.

The room came with free breakfast. The food was tasty enough, but there's not much variety. Since we stayed for 3 days, breakfast was almost identical throughout our stay (even the pastries served was the same) However, the yummy waffles and the coffee bar kinda made up for it.

I loved the WAFFLES and the kids enjoyed the nasi lemak.

The Pool

Another plus point which can be found in the hotel is the gorgeous swimming pool. My children practically spend most of their time in the room gazing down the pool. There's an adult and children pool available. If you're a fitness buff, there's a gym (overlooking the pool) and a steam and sauna room on the 13 floor.

Review: I rate our experience here 9/10. The staffs are friendly and attentive, our room was clean and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our experience here and would come back without any hesitation. Give it a try :)
