The trip to Singapore was organized at the very last minute due to some unforeseeable reason. Alhamdullilah despite the short planning we managed to have a very good time :)
This time around we decided to visit Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa Island. For our own convenience, we decided to booked a night stay in Festive World Hotel , which is one of the most child friendly hotels out of the 4 hotels in Resort World. It was a good choice based on location, comfort and price (booking was made via Booking.Com)
Resort world is situated in the red circle; Halal food can be found in the Malaysian Street (Green Circle),7 Eleven (sells microwaveable halal food) and McDonalds (The Bull Ring -Purple area), USS (blue circle) and Sea World (Yellow Circle) is about 5 minutes walk away from our hotel.
The first thing that totally caught my eye when we entered the hotel was the decorations :) So funky and whimsical. Wish I could have carried the art decos home.
Loving the bling-bling mosaic wall at the corridor
The flat screen TV with my name welcoming us to the room :)
How awesome pussom
The rooms are average in size.
Though it was comfy enough for the kids to run around in.
The gorgeous view from our balcony :)
Love the kids pool and this mini water feature.
The children had so much fun with the water sprinkler
We had our dinner in Malaysian Food Street. Nothing spectacular as the only halal food available is Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai. |
After dinner we walked around the Bulls Ring where you can find Candylicious, Hard Rock Cafe, Starbucks etc.
Can't help but got myself some chocolate souvenirs and Nutella Go for own consumption. I think you can get these in One Utama :p shall check whether the price is the same hehe
You can't come to USS and not take a picture with the Universal Studios Globe :)
There's a fountain/laser/fire show at the Lake of Dream around 9.30pm at night
Morning View of Lake of Dreams
The twins with atuk and nenek :)
Review: I would say that we would not hesitate to rebook the hotel should we decide to visit Sentosa Island again. What really attracted me was the location. I love that all the attractions are just within walking distance. However, please take note that the hotel does not serve Halal food and Malaysian Street is only open at 10am. I would advice that you bring some bread/cookies/cereal if you're the type that need early breakfast. I rate our experience at 8.5/10
Will update on our Day 2 (USS and Sea World) and Day 3 (Hello Kitty &The Little Big Club) Adventure soon. Have a nice day
